I haven't had internet all weekend! It's been awful! I had to tether my laptop to my phone to complete my homework in time to still make it to work on Friday. No Netflix, and even worse... NO SIMPSON'S TAPPED OUT!!!!! Turns out someone mowed over the wire for Century Link and cut it all to shreds. My question was... shouldn't the wire we buried a little better? Just a thought. Everything is back to normal now, and the world feels right again. How did I ever survive without the internet?
Well, Spring Break has started for some of the world, as has Mardi Gras at work, therefore this weekend was busy busy. I've been spoiled by the slow standard I've been seeing since Halloween Horror Nights, which made me want to punch everyone in the face Saturday (maybe I shouldn't be saying that after the Applebee's situation. What is someone I served sees this? Well, if I've served you... I wanted to punch you. Now it's out in the open and everything is ok). I can't tell you how many times I heard the words, "why hasn't my name been called to sing yet?" Well, there are hundreds of people in this building that also want to sing that have been waiting hours, and you just got here, get over it. At one point we were at capacity, couldn't let anyone in, and had a line that stretched from my venue to Starbucks. By the time next Saturday comes around, it will be the new norm to me and I suppose I won't be so annoyed.
I got a new essay assignment in my enc class. It's what I've sort of decided to do for a New Years resolution, which makes it kind of like a 13th month. I know, I know, that's weird sounding, but it makes sense to me. I'm really excited to see what my classmates choose as their topic just to kind of pick their brains as to what is normal to them. It will be like an episode of Taboo, but in classroom form. Yayy!
Well, I'm going to get back to what I need to finish school wise, and hopefully get it done quick so I can make my streusel crust muffins as one last woo-sa moment and fresh breakfast tomorrow to start my super busy week off (5 work days compared to 3, and the normal 7 days of homework, plus drafting a complaint for my case for the semester, and studying for a big exam, eek).

I'm mad! Last night I went to bed at 9:30, woke up at 1:00 and couldn't go back to sleep. Fell back asleep at 5, and woke up at 1:30! I'm never going to fall asleep in enough time to be functional in classes tomorrow.
I'm a huge fan of the show "Taboo". If you aren't familiar with it, you really have to watch it. It comes on National Geographic, or "NatGeo" as they like to be called now. It addressed things that are absolutely normal in other cultures or groups of people, but completely abnormal to the average American. This is part of the inspiration for my 12 experiments to open my mind (well, other than January, I just really needed to stop eating Whoppers). Well, right now it's on in the background, and they're talking about Alcoholics, and showing the lives of people who are intoxicated more than sober. Now, don't get me wrong, I went through my 21-22 year old "I can final drink so lets do it all the time" stage, but this show is insane! I work at a bar where every night someone has to come and clean up vomit, and we have cops on sight to arrest people who try to take their clothes off on stage, and I have never seen things like this. It really opens your eyes.
They keep calling alcohol a drug... and I make and give these drinks to people... does that make me a drug dealer...
Ok, ok, not funny because people are dying, but now I'm always going to kind of feel guilty as I put that drink in my guests hand, which is awful because those drinks basically pay my bills.
Ok, enough talk about drunk people, lets finish my client intake...

So.... I finally got a computer. Yayy!!!! Now I can actually blog on a regular basis and relax while I do my homework. Ok, relax might be a strong word, lets go with be more comfortable. Now I just need a lock on my room so there's no way the most adorable member of my household can destroy this one.
This year, instead of one big New Years resolution, I have decided to try something new every month. Last month was trying the fit healthy lifestyle. It's been really hard, but so far so good. I've had a few nights where I just say forget it I'm going to stuff my face and do minimal physical activity, but for the most part I'm almost trained to say no to delicious food that is bad for me. This month I'm going to introduce myself to a TV show I think looks really awful, and keep an entirely open mind about it. The TV show I have chosen is "Pretty Little Liars". A huge number of people I socialize swear by this being the best show in the whole wide world and to me it just looks dumb. I think it looks like something the "Twilight" lovers would like, and that is something I absolutely can not get into no matter how much I try. I'm more of a 20/20, The Walking Dead, and True Blood type of person. If I have time before I knock out from pure exhaustion tonight, then I'm going to dive right into season one. I haven't decided if I should give up if I don't like it, or keep experimenting until I find something I like. Who knows what's in store for next month... I'm kind of making it up as I go, and taking suggestions. I'll share my ideas as I go along :)
Now... back to my homework....

What a hectic week! Work was a NIGHTMARE all weekend, I've been sick, I have piles and piles of homework, and, to top it all off, I had some weird goof in my financial aid almost dropped me from all of my classes! And here I am, trying to get all my homework done in the ONLY day I have to do it this week before my work weekend starts all over again. I thought I was going to have more time for school while my boyfriend was in Puerto Rico, but I was obviously wrong... I haven't even baked in weeks! Agh where are you spring break?!

I have so much homework, but I'm being stopped in my tracks by these freaking "Sookie Stackhouse novels"! I'm not one for trendy book series. Ok, I admit I've read and loved the Hunger Games Trilogy and Harry Potter, but I prefer the classics like "The Great Gatsby" and "Scarlet Letter". I even have to fess up that I have in deed read "Alices Adventures in Wonderland" and "Through the Looking Glass" more times than I can count on my fingers and toes. There is just something about the "True Blood" series that captivates me (oh, by the way, the show "True Blood" is based off this book series). I keep saying, "after this chapter I'll start on my homework", but I come back into reality realizing I'm 2 chapters past that point, and start the process all over again. Unfortunately, or luckily, I can't tell, I recieved a phone call that made me get out of my cozy reading place and onto the computer. Now I'm blogging to get the creative juices flowing in an effort to complete the hours of work I have ahead of me. Or maybe I'll have a snack first.....

My 1st Blog!
So, I'm new to the whole blogging thing. I haven't been one for social media since the "infamous facebook deletion of 2012" (or at least my friends find it to be infamous; I still hear about it to this day). I do "tweet" from time to time, so I guess this is just a really long tweet, haha. I'm always talking, in fact I never shut up, so this should be easy as pie for me.
My computer bit the dust the Saturday before school started, so this semester has started off a bit rocky. A paticular baby (not going to name any names, but she happens to be my roomate's daughter) decided it was time to learn to climb, and the first place she climbs you ask? Right onto the dining room table where my computer happens to be resting. She must have decided the computer was thirsty, because she dumped all of her apple juice onto it. So, until FAFSA gets deposited into my account, or a rich old man comes into my job and decides to give me his black card, I will be backpacking from computer to computer, wherever the technology takes me. I always thought my college backpacking adventure would be somewhere fascinating, not my boyfriend's house and/or Osceola County library.
